PasPar_Goat project is aimed at dairy goat farmers grazing in Lombardy Region.
Objectives:
- Provide management and health indications functional to the sustainability and competitiveness of dairy goat farms;
- Demonstrate how the presence of native breeds in the farm may have positive effects in the management of farm problems, related particularly to gastrointestinal nematode infections;
- Develop integrated control strategies, aiming at a sustainable use of anthelmintic drugs.
To achieve these objectives,
PasPar_Goat is developed in the following sub-projects:
Informative
It will allow farmers to receive information to improve farm health management, increase the profitability of the flock and implement product safety
Demonstrative
it will allow the farmers involved in the project to have an assessment of the situation of their farm and the identification of management risk factors with respect to some health problems, selected for their short and long-term impact on the sustainability of the farm.
